About the Warsaw site

The Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology was founded in 1994 under the terms of an agreement between the governments of Poland and Japan. The meeting of the two cultures gave rise to a unique institution: PJIIT fully takes advantage of the synergies arising from Japan’s teamwork spirit combined with Polish individualism and Polish record of achievement in sciences enhanced by modern Japanese technology. The curriculum was developed by outstanding Polish computer scientists in liaison with Japanese and American experts, who cooperate with the institute on a regular basis. The Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology is one of the leading Polish universities specialized in the field of IT and holds a leading position in national rankings of private universities. PJIIT conducts studies for Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering and Doctor of Engineering in Computer Science. PJIIT may choose one out of the following eight specialized courses:

  • Database
  • Software engineering and database
  • Systems and Network Programming
  • Computing in computer networks and supercomputers
  • Intelligent systems for data processing
  • Multimedia
  • Multimedia – 3D animation
  • Robotics and multi agent systems

PJIIT students may also participate in an International Student Exchange Program based on mutual agreements between PJIIT, Japanese and EU universities. The Department of Artificial Intelligence is one of the 13 departments at PJIIT.

Location:

The Aula Glowna – The Main Assembly Hall is situated in Building A, at the Koszykowa 86 str. The hall provides space for 200 students and is equipped with the latest facilities, such as computers, electronic and analog projectors, videoprojectors, and an audio system with wireless microphones. The audio-video equipments are compatible and have been integrated into KRAMER system. The variety of equipments enable reading data from all standard data carriers: CD, audio, video, DVD, CD-V, VHS and others.
